TDG, a leading AI cloud and IT services company, has announced that it has signed a master distribution agreement with Altibase, a leading Korean DBMS provider, to accelerate its AI and data business initiatives.

Altibase, known for its proprietary Hybrid DBMS technology, combines ultra-fast in-memory processing with large-scale disk storage within a single engine. This architecture enables significantly superior performance and stability compared to both foreign and open-source DBMS solutions. The company has also pioneered the commercial adoption of sharding technology among Korean DBMS vendors, allowing flexible horizontal scalability without the need for high-end hardware. This approach enables virtually unlimited scalability while significantly reducing total cost of ownership (TCO), strengthening Altibase’s competitive position in the market.

Through this agreement, TDG plans to leverage its existing customer network while actively expanding its ecosystem by recruiting and developing new partners to deliver Altibase solutions. The company will focus on building a strong partner ecosystem by launching structured training programs, joint marketing initiatives, and partner enablement strategies.

Lee Moon-hyung, Head of NSS Division at TDG, stated that as businesses rapidly transition toward AI- and data-centric architectures, databases are no longer just storage systems but have become critical infrastructure. He emphasized that by combining Altibase’s proven technology, validated across numerous customer environments, with TDG’s infrastructure operation expertise and customer base, the company aims to expand its DBMS portfolio, empower capable partners, and create new business opportunities while delivering stable and reliable services.

Richard Nahm, Executive Vice President of Altibase, noted that TDG’s integrated capabilities across cloud and on-premise environments will play a key role in positioning Altibase’s next-generation products as market standards. He added that this partnership will elevate the status of Korean DBMS solutions and serve as a foundation for expanding into global markets.

TDG, a subsidiary of AI specialist RaonPeople, plans to further strengthen its influence in the IT services market by expanding its enterprise solution portfolio, including both domestic and international software offerings. In addition to license distribution and cloud business, the company aims to accelerate its transformation into a high-value service provider centered on AI and data, supported by its managed service provider (MSP) integrated technical support capabilities.

The signing ceremony took place on March 26 at TDG’s headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul, with key executives from both companies in attendance. TDG was represented by CEO Lee Seok-joong and Head of NSS Division Lee Moon-hyung, while Altibase was represented by CEO Helena Park and Executive Vice President Richard Nahm. During the event, both parties discussed strategies for expanding AI- and data-driven business opportunities and shared their future roadmap for collaboration.
