Altibase announced on the 24th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with BNH, a local Vietnamese DBMS specialist.
BNH is a leading Vietnamese IT service company with expertise in advanced database technologies and security. Its main business areas include database consulting and technical support, high availability (HA) and database migration services, database security evaluation, certification, system implementation, and security policy development. BNH has also carried out Oracle technical support and database consulting projects for major Vietnamese financial institutions such as SHB Bank, NCB Bank, MBBank, and VPBank.
Through this agreement, the two companies will jointly propose and implement Altibase’s in-memory hybrid DBMS solutions for BNH’s clients in the finance, telecommunications, and public sectors. Altibase is the world’s first company to commercialize a hybrid DBMS, providing both the high performance of in-memory computing and the stability of disk-based systems. By combining BNH’s expertise in HA architecture with Altibase’s database sharding and replication technologies, the partnership aims to deliver high-performance DBMS systems capable of handling large-scale transactions to local customers.
In particular, the two companies agreed to jointly carry out database conversion and performance enhancement consulting for Oracle and SQL Server-based clients in Vietnam. This collaboration is expected to overcome the limitations of existing systems while offering improved performance and cost efficiency. Furthermore, they plan to provide tailored data security frameworks that meet local regulatory requirements in Vietnam, enhancing both security and compliance.
Through this agreement, Altibase and BNH intend to strengthen cooperation in the Vietnamese market and further expand their business into the broader Southeast Asian region. Immediately following the agreement, they will rapidly initiate Proof of Concept (PoC) projects with major Vietnamese financial institutions to directly validate the performance and stability of Altibase.
Seo-woo Nam, Head of Global Sales and Marketing at Altibase, stated:
“Vietnam, with a population of about 110 million, is a vast market experiencing rapid urbanization and digital infrastructure expansion. The demand for fintech and real-time transaction processing is growing explosively. Especially in the finance, telecommunications, and public sectors, there is a strong demand for reliable large-scale database systems. Through our partnership with BNH, we will meet these demands and provide the optimal alternative to overcome the performance and cost limitations of existing Oracle and SQL Server-based systems.”
A BNH representative added:
“Altibase already possesses proven hybrid DBMS technology that has been validated by global financial and telecommunications companies. By leveraging this, we expect to significantly enhance competitiveness in the Vietnamese market by providing differentiated database solutions to local clients. Starting with the finance, telecommunications, and public sectors, both companies will promptly carry out PoC projects, and based on the successful references gained, accelerate expansion beyond Vietnam into the entire Southeast Asian market.”
