Richard Nahm, Head of Division... A nation of 270 million, the world’s 4th largest population… Strengthening focus on public and financial markets

Korea’s leading database (DB) specialist, ALTIBASE, announced on the 10th that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indonesia's prominent ICT company, Aru Raharja, to begin full-scale collaboration aimed at entering the Indonesian public and financial markets.

The two companies signed the agreement last month. This MoU is a strategic alliance to promote Altibase as a high-performance and cost-efficient alternative to legacy DBMS solutions, in response to the rapidly evolving digital infrastructure market in Indonesia.

Indonesia, with a population of approximately 270 million, is the world’s fourth most populous country. The government's e-Government initiatives and the private financial sector’s accelerating digital transformation are driving increasing demand for high-performance DBMS solutions that can handle large-scale transactions and seamless data operations.

Aru Raharja, Altibase’s partner in the MoU, is a leading ICT solutions company in Indonesia with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects across sectors such as government, finance, energy, and smart cities. Leveraging its deep understanding of the local market and strong technical capabilities, Aru Raharja plans to collaborate with Altibase in proposing and executing joint projects for government and major financial institutions.

Altibase is an IT company founded on the world's first commercially available hybrid DBMS technology that integrates in-memory and on-disk DBMS in a single engine. Its architecture minimizes bottlenecks and enables ultra-fast transactions via in-memory processing, while also ensuring stable management and processing of large volumes of data through on-disk storage.

This hybrid architecture is particularly well-suited for environments like Indonesia, where user volume and traffic are high. It effectively addresses performance degradation and scalability issues common in legacy DBMS systems. Additionally, Altibase offers high compatibility with existing systems and includes built-in SQL and data migration features, significantly reducing migration burdens from legacy systems while greatly improving operational efficiency.
