Promoting Integration of Log-Based Real-Time Replication and High-Speed DB Technology Through Korea-ASEAN Partnership

ALTIBASE, a leading Korean database solution company (CEO Helena Park), announced that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with X-LOG (CEO Seokjoo Chang), a company specializing in log-based real-time data replication and migration, during the ‘Korea-ASEAN ICT Business Partnership’ event hosted by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

This agreement is seen as a step toward jointly entering the global market, including Southeast Asia, and accelerating the development of integrated solutions by combining the technologies of both companies.

Altibase, the first developer of an in-memory database management system (DBMS) in Korea, has established itself as a symbolic presence in the domestic database industry. Based on its proven high-speed hybrid DBMS technology across various sectors such as finance, telecommunications, and the public sector, it continues to demonstrate its technological strength on the global stage as a representative Korean data solution provider. Through this agreement, Altibase and X-LOG aim to create a concentrated showcase of Korea’s top-tier technologies and deliver differentiated value to global customers.

In particular, the two companies plan to jointly develop an integrated platform that connects Altibase’s high-performance DB engine with X-LOG’s real-time data replication technology, thereby enhancing both the operational efficiency and security of large-scale systems. By combining X-LOG’s log-based real-time replication capabilities with Altibase’s real-time processing strengths, the collaboration is expected to offer customers a more reliable and stable infrastructure environment.

Richard S Nahm, Global Sales & Marketing Director at Altibase, stated, “This MOU is more than just a partnership—it marks a symbolic beginning that encapsulates both the technological fusion of leading Korean solution companies and their global expansion. We will continue to elevate the status of domestic technology and deliver meaningful results in domestic and international markets through trusted collaborative models.”

Jinsung Lee, Executive Director at X-LOG, added, “As we prepare for expansion into Southeast Asia and global markets, we are excited to introduce technically integrated services in collaboration with Altibase. We will focus on creating differentiated value and tailored solutions that meet local demands, drawing from our extensive project experience.”

This agreement is expected to lead to not only short-term sales cooperation but also long-term joint technology development, co-bidding for domestic and international projects, and various other outcomes.
